LOS ALTOS, CA (September 28, 2005) - MedioStream, a leading pioneer of multimedia software, today announced that its next generation home media solution, MVP Media Station, has passed the "Designed to DLNA Guidelines" (D2G) tests.

MVP Media Station allows users to view any media file on their PC over their local network using any UPnP capable device designed according to the DLNA guidelines. Even if a music or video file format is not compatible with the device, MVP Media Station allows users to play it back by using the integrated real time Xtream Transcoder. In addition to providing the best file compatibility and fastest file conversion in the industry MVP Media Station also provides a robust media search and organization engine.

This is an important milestone for MedioStream, validating the technical excellence of its approach and allowing OEM partners to ship this software in complete confidence of its quality and interoperability. The first devices using MVP Media Station will be available this fall. Passing the D2G tests is also a critical step to ensure that consumers who buy MVP Media Station will enjoy the interoperability that MVP Media Station brings with DLNA capable devices and will experience the ease of use and convenience the software provides.
